La star du film Harry Pottern
Sean Biggerstaffn, a aidé les équipes de Glasgow à décharger
les premières copies de l’Ordre du Phoenix, attendu avec impatience,
dans une librairie du centre de la ville.
L’acteur natif de Glasgow, qui a joué le capitaine de quidditch
Olivier Dubois dans les deux premiers films HP, a aidé à déplacer
l’expédition dans Waterstones (NB : une librairie) sur Sauchiehall
Street sous les yeux vigilants des vigiles de sécurité.
Les boîtes de livres seront gardés sous clé jusqu’à
ce qu’ils soient mis en vente au public plus tard dans la nuit.
Les librairies du centre ville sont déterminées à veiller
fort tard dans la nuit pour procurer le cinquième roman de JK
Rowling dans les mains des lecteurs dès que l’embargo pour la
sortie du livre le 21 juin sera rompu à minuit.
Waterstones rejoindra beaucoup d’autres libraries en ouvrant à
minuit et après l’heure de pointe du début, elle prévoit
de rouvrir à 7 heures quand les maquilleurs et les jongleurs seront
à disposition pour l’attente des acheteurs du bouquin.
L’assistant du manager du magasin Iain Josntone dit : « C’est
parti pour être une journée très épuisante. Je
ne suis pas autorisé à dire combien de livres nous avons livré,
mais nous avons pris 1300 réservations pour le livre ».
Le magasin de livres Borders dans Buchanan Street sera autant occupé
et a prévu un week-end plein de festivités HP pour célébrer
le lancement.
L’amusement démarre avec une projection du film HP1 à 9
heures et une lecture du livre précédent, Harry Potter et
la Coupe du Feu, à 11h 30 amenant à l’énorme
vente.

Biggerstaff helps Glasgow staff unload the first copies of the eagerly-awaited
Order of the Phoenix into a city centre bookshop.
The Glasgow-born actor, who played quidditch captain Oliver Wood in the first
two Potter movies, helped shift the consignment into Waterstones on Sauchiehall
Street under the watchful eye of security guards.
The boxes of books will be kept under strict lock and key until they go on
sale to the public later tonight.
City centre bookstores are set to burn the midnight oil in order to get the
fifth JK Rowling novel into readers' hands as soon as the book's June 21 release
embargo breaks at 12am.
Waterstones will join many others in opening at midnight and after the initial
rush plans to re-open at 7am when face-painters and jugglers will be on hand
to entertain waiting book-buyers.
Store assistant manager Iain Johnstone said: "It's going to be a very
busy day. I'm not allowed to say how many books we've had delivered, but we've
taken 1300 reservations for the book."
Borders bookshop in Buchanan Street will be just as busy and has planned a
whole weekend of Harry Potter festivities to celebrate the launch.
The fun starts with a screening of Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone
at 9pm and a reading from the previous book, Harry Potter And The Goblet
of Fire, at 11.30pm in the lead up to the big sale.
